March 18 marks a critical moment for our profession—the anniversary of the Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act and the official Health Workforce Well-Being Day of Awareness. This day acknowledges the widespread burnout among healthcare professionals and the urgent need for solutions.

As the Medical Director of a Physician Health Program (PHP), I see firsthand the toll that stress, burnout, and mental health challenges take on our colleagues. Physicians dedicate their lives to caring for others, yet too often, they hesitate to seek the care they need. At the Federation of State Physician Health Programs (FSPHP), we stand in full alignment with this mission—ensuring that every physician has access to confidential, compassionate support to sustain their well-being and professional longevity.

This is why I invite you to join us at the FSPHP 2025 Conference and Annual Membership Meeting – Health Professional Wellbeing: Aligning Safety, Supports, and Confidentiality. This event brings together leaders in physician health to collaborate on solutions that prioritize well-being while upholding safety and confidentiality. More than a conference, it’s a call to action. Let’s work together to drive meaningful change.
